The Honda HR-V crossover has been given some light refreshments in its 2021 model year guise. Announced earlier today, Honda Malaysia also highlighted that pre-bookings for the model can be placed online now.
The biggest visual change can be seen in the HR-V Sport Hybrid variant. Honda has blessed it with a pair of new LED headlights, taillights and fog lamps, as well as new chrome door handles. On board, there's a new leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel present too.
The most crucial change on board with all variant is the adoption of a brand new 7-inch infotainment touchscreen display unit. It now boasts both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity features, along with the addition of two new USB ports in the centre console.
Apart from that, little else has changed mechanically in all. The non-hybrid variants still employ the same 1.8-litre 4cyl petrol mill plus CVT box pairing whilst the sole hybrid retains its 1.5-litre 4cyl petrol-electric mill and 7spd dual-clutch transmission (DCT) setup as before too.
As for prices, Honda Malaysia says prices remain the same as before too. With the on-going SST exemption in affect, the figures read at RM104,000.21 for the baseline E variant, RM113,421.92 for the mid-spec V variant, and RM118,581.81 for the sporty RS flagship variant.
As for the HR-V Sport Hybrid variant, its price will be announced at a later date according to the firm.
Bookings for the updated 2021-spec HR-V can be placed at any authorised Honda dealerships nationwide now. Can't visit these outlets due to the newly enforced Movement Control Order (MCO 2021)? You can still book one online through Honda Malaysia's online car-booking site now too.
