GWM Malaysia advances sustainability goals through MITI collab

GWM Malaysia is proud to announce that Elliot Zhang, President of Great Wall Motor ASEAN Region presented an ORA GOOD CAT 500 Ultra to Isham Ishak, Secretary General, Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), to conduct a series of test-drives over the next few months to learn more about electric vehicles, which is a testament to GWM Malaysia's dedication to sustainability and eco-friendliness.

This demonstrates GWM’s commitment to promote sustainable transportation solutions. GWM's flagship electric vehicle, ORA GOOD CAT, was designed with the future in mind, determined to assist the Malaysian Government in its efforts and plans for Malaysia to become a carbon neutral nation by 2054.

Malaysia has been a strong supporter of GWM's efforts to introduce new energy solutions, and this collaboration will help to make a significant contribution to the country's sustainability goals. With Malaysia's support, GWM is poised to continue its efforts in developing advanced technologies for electric and hybrid vehicles, making a significant contribution towards a greener and more sustainable future.

GWM Malaysia is taking a proactive stance towards advancing electric vehicles and sustainable transportation solutions. The company has formulated a local strategy aimed at supporting Malaysia's transition from fuel-energy vehicles to energy-efficient vehicles, with bigger plans to launch more hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and fuel-cell electric vehicles in the market.

This strategy shows that GWM Malaysia is dedicated to promoting eco-friendliness and contributing to a more sustainable future.

With aspirations to provide a more convenient EV charging infrastructure, GWM is working to establish a network of EV charging stations that are easily accessible and convenient for consumers to alleviate any concerns potential customers may have about the availability of a charging infrastructure to increase the appeal of electric vehicles.

GWM's collaboration with the Malaysian government is a clear example of how public-private collaborations can drive the growth and adoption of sustainable
transportation solutions, and the company looks forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with MITI.
