ICYMI, premium Italian motorcyle brand MV Agusta hasn’t had much luck in Malaysia. The brand has changed hands (read: distributors) multiple times over the years, with the last of which having folded recently after running out of funds.

This, of course has left many current MV Agusta owners in a limbo in terms of after-sales and warranty care for their prized machines. All that changed earlier this week following the announcement made jointly by the Goh Brothers Motorcycle Sdn Bhd (GBMC) and MV Agusta Motor SpA.

If you haven’t heard of GBMC (Goh Brothers), this is the very same firm behind the recent revival of Aprilia, Harley-Davidson and Moto Guzzi. Now, the firm can add the title of ‘Official After-sales Provider’ for MV Agusta in Malaysia as well.

“We are working closely with GBMC to sustain and build the confidence of our current owners in our brand in Malaysia and one of the exercises now is to ensure faster availability of parts on top of reliable service and repair for all existing MV Agusta owners in Malaysia.” - MV Agusta Motor SpA’s Far East Country Manager Judah Sangaran

“We are honoured to be selected as the partner for this renowned super-premium motorcycle brand in Malaysia and to start the process of building the brand and ownership experience via after sales, we have sent our team for training at the Italian factory on top of ensuring proper tools and equipment are ready on the service floor.” - GBMC chairman Goh Kian Sin

With that, MV Agusta owners in Malaysia can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that they can now have their bikes serviced, repaired, as well as their warranties honoured by GBMC through their GB Workshop  located in the The Gasket Alley, Petaling Jaya.

Heading things here is none other than Idon Pang – manager of GB Workshop (pictured right). Those who are familiar with the Seremban native would probably know of his past exploits in the local motorcycling industry, with his experience spanning just a little over a decade long.

In regards on who will take up the role as MV Agusta’s new Malaysian distributor, both MV Agusta and GBMC declined to confirm anything as yet. However, we reckon the Italian marque will make an announcement on this soon enough.
