First batch of Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric delivered to customers
65 owners of the Volvo XC40 EV have gotten their keys
Volvo Car Malaysia introduced the all-electric 2022 Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric for the local market in mid-March, followed by a media drive shortly after before announcing its official price in early April.
It seems that the brand's first EV in Malaysia has gathered a lot of positive feedback, and judging by the first batch of 65 proud new owners, the Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric is more than just hype. And there will be more on the road as Volvo Car Malaysia has received around 300 orders so far.
Customers were all over when it comes to the colour choice between Black Stone, Crystal White Pearl, Denim Blue, Glacier Silver, and Sage Green. Basically, the all-electric Volvo XC40 comes with the same electric powertrain which produces a whopping 408PS and 660Nm of torque. In other words, this EV compact SUV can hit 0-100km/h in just 4.9 seconds plus a limited top speed of 180km/h. Range? 418km (based on the WLTP standard).
