Facelifted Hyundai Tucson now in showrooms

The facelifted Hyundai Tucson is now in Malaysia, with Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn. Bhd. providing two variants to choose from – 2.0 Elegance and 1.6 Turbo priced at RM123,888 and RM143,888 respectively.

The front features a cascading grille with a new surfacing, while the Turbo variant gets LED head- and taillights. The 1.6L Turbo is offered with a Chrome Garnish grille, Chrome Coated door handles with pocket lighting as well as LED headlights with Positioning Lamp and Low Beam Assist-Static Lights. The 2.0L Elegance comes with the Metallic Silver grille and Halogen Bulbs with Positioning Lamp.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are both standard, with user-control done on the 7-inch floating display. Other new items include the air-conditioner vent design and leather seat design. Again, the Turbo gets some extra features, including Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Electrochromic rear-view mirror, 8-way power seat for the driver, 4.2-inch TFT LCD display and a leather garnish for the front panel.

The 1.6-litre TGDi engine is good for 177ps/265Nm, while the 2.0 Elegance makes 155ps/192Nm. Safety features include Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Assist Control, Downhill Brake Control, and Vehicle Stability Management. Extras on the turbo includes six airbags (two on the Elegance), smart tailgate system, plus front and rear parking distance warning.
