Malaysian Renault distributor TC Euro Cars has rolled out arguably the most extensive campaign in the country to ease its customers back into their vehicle maintenance routine following the nationwide movement control order (MCO) implemented to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Dubbed ‘Renault Relax’, the initiative offers discounts on tyres and batteries, a wider range of MCO servicing options and added assurances regarding warranties and service intervals disrupted by the period of isolation. Naturally, the discounts are offered on the two wear-and-tear components most likely to deteriorate from a long period of inactivity: tyres and batteries.
Renault Captur and Fluence owners with worn or flat-spotted tyres can purchase Continental ContiEco Contact 5 205/55 R17 tyres at a discounted rate of RM345 per piece. To enjoy this discount, customers are advised to place a RM100 deposit via the ‘Renault E-Store’ at www.renault.com.my due to limited stock. Redemption can be made anytime from 15 May to 31 August 2020, with free tyre balancing thrown in for purchases of two tyres and above. As for batteries, TCEC is offering 10 percent off its stock of Atlas BX batteries until 30 June 2020.
TCEC is also offering a 30-day extension for warranties expiring within the MCO period up till 28 May 2020. Similarly, a 30-day extension is also applied to service intervals originally scheduled within the affected period to give owners some leeway to get their maintenance routine back on track. This is aided by longer opening hours, with the Petaling Jaya outlet scheduled to stay open for a whopping 14 and a half hours every weekday, and up till 7PM on weekends too.
To top it off, owners who live within a 30km radius of a TCEC service centre can have their cars picked up from the comfort of their homes and dropped off upon servicing as part of the company’s door-to-door delivery service offered free of charge during and immediately after the MCO period.
