ETCM announces Nissan Almera Black Series special

By thoriq, 07 November 2018

If you thought the Nissan Almera was, well… ‘tame’ in looks, well fret not as the folks at Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) have just announced the availability of the Almera with a special ‘Black Series’ package today.

If you’re hoping for a similar sort of treatment as Mercedes-AMG’s Black Series, then you’d be disappointed as the base Almera’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder powetrain remains unchanged as far as output and performance figures are concerned.

Instead, Nissan’s Black Series package sees the Almera adopting a darker and meaner stance thanks to a host of new exterior and interior bits.  For starters, the Almera’s grille, 15-inch wheels, boot lid spoiler and side mirror covers are now finished in black – duhh….

Titanium Olive

Next comes a racy new full aerokit – front & rear bumpers plus side skirts – specially designed by TOMEI Powered Inc. Co. Ltd that feature ‘Dark Titanium accent’ finish as well. Whilst here, there’s also a new paint option called ‘Titanium Olive’ (pictured, right), with this light hue of green offered exclusively in the Almera’s Black Series package.

Inside, the blacked-out theme continues with a set of new black leather seat covers with Dark Titanium accents too. There’s also a premium-spec 6.75-inch Clarion head unit that boasts reverse camera function on top of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Available exclusively as a factory-fitted package for the mid-spec E and range-topping VL variants, the Black Series package-equipped Nissan Almera retails from RM69,800 (E) and RM79,800 (VL) onwards – excluding insurance costs.

For those asking, the Black Series package is worth RM8,500 in its entirety. Additionally, ETCM says that existing Almera owners keen to upgrade with the new Tomei bodykit can do so by visiting any authorised ETCM dealer, as well as via email (tomei@tanchonggroup.com) and phone (03-4047 8786).

Want to be the coolest looking Grab driver out there? This Almera Black Series might just tickle your fancy indeed…
