Cycle & Carriage Glenmarie achieves highest accreditation for Mercedes-Benz body & paint centre

Mercedes-Benz vehicles are built with a combination of different kinds of high-strength steel and aluminum for its chassis to reach an unrivalled relation between stability, weight and passenger safety. The complex composition requires specific repair techniques to ensure the vehicle remains safe and reliable. Therefore, it is not only about the facilities and equipment, but the competency level of the people is also equally important.

Cycle & Carriage Glenmarie Body & Paint Centre has been upgraded to the highest Mercedes-Benz accreditation status – Centre of Competence – making it one of only two such accredited Body & Paint Centres in Malaysia, the other one being Cycle & Carriage Batu Caves. In order to achieve this status, strict guidelines from Mercedes-Benz Group AG need to have adhered with a series of evaluations on the Body & Paint Centre carried out jointly by a Technical Specialist from Mercedes-Benz Global Service & Parts and Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Customer Services Team. This includes the on-site technical training to ensure its personnel are well trained and meet the Mercedes-Benz standards in restoring a vehicle to its original specifications, from minor dents to severely damaged vehicles.

The Cycle & Carriage Glenmarie Authorized Service Centre is currently equipped to handle 21 units of vehicles in its work bay and 15 units of vehicles for body and paint at any one time. With the Centre ofCompetence accreditation comes equipment and technical know-how to perform complex restoration works including chassis realignment and aluminium structural welding, ensuring original parts are used and work is done by qualified technicians.
