Covid-19: Sime Darby Auto Hyundai service centres reopens

By thoriq, 23 April 2020

Hyundai Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) announced today that it has garnered the Government's approval for its Sime Darby Auto Hyundai (SDAH) nationwide service centres network to reopen and resume operations, albeit in stages, starting this week from April 20.

Like what other carmakers are subjected with, several restrictions are in place as per the on-going and now extended Movement Control/Restriction Order (MCO/MRO). These include minimal staff capacities, limited operating hours, and serving customers by appointment basis only.

Customers can contact any SDAH service outlet of their choice or a service advisor directly. The first wave of SDAH service centres reopening this week are located at:

  • Ara Damansara

  • Petaling Jaya

  • Old Klang Road

  • Ipoh, Perak

  • Georgetown and Prai, Penang

  • Skudai, Johor

Take note that operational hours will be limited to 9am to 4pm on weekdays and from 9am to 12noon on Saturdays for most. The only exceptions here are the Georgetown and Prai centres, which will operate from 8am to 5pm and 9am to 2pm respectively.

Besides this, HSDM also initiated its Hyundai CARE Warranty Extension Programme. Introduced in tandem with the Hyundai brand's recently announced worldwide warranty extension policy, this sees the extension of original warranties that expired in March and April.

The initiative ensures all Hyundai vehicles with original warranties that expire between March 18 and April 28 this year are granted extensions until May 31. HSDM further states that if the MCO/MRO gets extend further, it will grant an additional 30 days warranties extension from the last day of the MCO/MRO.
