Corruption on MRT, LRT: Let authorities investigate

Public should not jump to a conclusions over allegations of corruption involving the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects, says The Transport Minister, Dr Wee Ka Siong.

Wee assured that anyone found to be involved in corrupt practices would face stern action.

"For now, let the authorities investigate.

"The public should also not make any speculation on this," he said as quoted on The Star Online 

Before this, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) said it took a serious view of media reports quoting sources who claimed there were elements of bribery in public transport infrastructure construction projects.

"Prasarana does not (tolerate) any form of corruption in all its affairs.
