Like a British royalty couple announcing the name of their child, Honda has finally confirmed the name of their latest model – the Honda e. Yes, that’s a bit boring considering that it was already named the Honda E Prototype before, and the initial (and much better IMO) Honda Urban EV.

It’s not just about naming the car though as it is part of Honda’s ‘Electric Vision’ for Europe. To recap, this vision was renewed during the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and lays out the plan to have 100 per cent of Honda’s sales in Europe to be made up of vehicles with electrified powertrains by 2025.

To date, Honda says that the Honda e has received expressions of interest from over 22,000 individuals across Europe. The Honda e is the company’s first fully electric urban vehicle and sits on a dedicated EV platform. It also promises trademark Honda driving dynamics, plus with rear-wheel drive.
