A brand new iteration of the Toyota Corolla Altis is set to debut locally very soon, and bookings for it are now open through authorised Toyota showroom and dealership nationwide today.

UMW Toyota Motor kept mum as to when exactly the new Corolla will be launched, but they did reveal estimated pricing in its official announcement made earlier today. Two variants were confirmed, a 1.8E base model and a higher-spec 1.8G offering.

Both will be built upon the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) chassis platform, promising better performance, enhanced driving dynamics and elevated comfort levels.

Crucially, the new Corolla Altis will also be endowed with the latest Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), which is Toyota lingo for its array of integrated sophisticated safety systems aimed at providing a safer driving experience.

As for pricing, the 1.8E base variant is estimated to retail from RM128,888 onwards whilst the higher-spec 1.8G variant is estimated to command RM136,888 onwards.
