Ferrari Far East, which is responsible for Ferrari operations in the Far East and Middle East regions, which covers North East Asia (Japan, South Korea), South East Asia (ASEAN countries), Australasia (Australia and New Zealand) and the Middle East, recently confirmed that the business partnership between Ferrari S.p.A. and Naza Italia, the brand's current authorised distributor, will end on April 8, 2023.

The announcement was made after a few Malaysian motoring media channels reached out to Ferrari Far East to get a comment on the recent rumour that Naza Italia has lost the rights to distribute Ferrari in Malaysia.

As it turns out, it is indeed true.

However, it is said that Naza Italia will continue to provide sales and aftersales services until a new authorised distributor takes over completely, so customers can rest assured that their Ferraris will be well taken care of regardless of who runs the show.

While the question of who is going to be the new authorised distributor in Malaysia remains a mystery, rumour has it that companies such as Sime Darby, the Berjaya Group, and the Sunway Group are in the running for the pitch. Again, we would like to emphasise on the fact that these are just rumours.

That being said, the Naza Group is currently the sole distributor for Maserati, Ducati motorcycles, and Suzuki cars in Malaysia.
