Bugatti Chiron Sport

You probably won’t be surprised to hear that the upcoming Riyadh Car Show Auction will feature a whole host of the world’s rarest and most ridiculous supercars and hypercars going up for sale. These mega-auctions are becoming ever more common, but even so, we still can’t get over just how special this lot list is.

For starters, check out this impeccably specced Chiron Sport. And yes, for all those wondering, it does have a tan leather interior. Certain corners of the TG office are weak at the knees.

Scroll through this page for a quick roundup of all the best cars that will cross the block later this month – you won’t be disappointed…

Lamborghini Diablo VT

This four-wheel-drive Diablo VT was built in the very last year of Diablo production – 2001. According to the listing it has covered just 13,000km in its 18-year life, and crucially it’s equipped with a five-speed, open-gate manual gearbox. Just lovely.

Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series

Ahh the SLS Black – seen here looking resplendent in a rare Mars Red colour scheme. This one has apparently only ever completed delivery kilometres, which is a crying shame for such a stunning drivers’ car. Let’s hope the new owner (who no doubt will have to pay a pretty penny for it) uncorks that naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8 engine and uses the full 622bhp. One they’ve run it in, of course.

Mercedes 300SL Gullwing

Also up for auction is an example of the car that inspired the SLS’s gullwing doors – a 300SL Coupe. Beautiful isn’t it?

This is a 1955 example that has been fully recommissioned by Brabus. It looks absolutely mint – check out those wheels.

Italdesign Zerouno

Now this is a rare find. Only five Italdesign Zerounos were built after it was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017 – and this is the last of them. It uses the same modular aluminium chassis and naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 as the Audi R8 and the Lamborghini Huracán, but the mad carbon bodywork and limited run meant a list price of €1.5m (approx. RM6.86m).

This one has never even been road-registered. Drive your cars, people.

McLaren Mercedes SLR 722S

My word the SLR has aged well so far, hasn’t it? Or is that just us? This one’s an absolute stunner, too. It’s a 2009 special edition 722S, which means 641bhp, 0-100kph in 3.7secs and a top speed of 335kph.

Gemballa Mirage GT

Another ultra rare one to check off your list. The Mirage GT was Gemballa’s take on the already-bonkers Porsche Carrera GT. As well as fitting a new body kit, roof scoop and a bespoke interior, the German tuners managed to extract an extra 49bhp from the high-revving 5.7-litre V10. That meant a total of 661bhp – crikey.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato

Way before this year’s Continuation version of the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, there was this – the V12 Zagato. It was designed to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the original tie up that spawned the racing DB4 Zagato back in 1960.

Built on V12 Vantage underpinnings, just 61 were ever sold. Again, this one is on delivery kilometres…

Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet

A slight change of pace for a moment, the V12-engined, convertible G650 was designed by Maybach to be the ultimate in G-Wagen luxury. Just 99 were built, and it even featured chilled cupholders to keep your drinks cool in the desert heat.

Gumpert Apollo Sport

We miss Gumpert. Yes, the Apollo might not have been the most beautiful car in the world, but it certainly was functional. This Sport version features 690bhp from its Audi-sourced 4.2-litre V8.

It’s also a 2013 car, so would have been one of the last out of the factory before bankruptcy was filed that same year.

Lamborghini Murcielago 40th Anniversary

The Murcielago may be in esteemed company here, but we reckon this 40th Anniversary edition is pretty special. How clean does it look in that Verde Artemis colour with the retro grey wheels?

This example is number two of the 50 that were produced in 2004.

Lamborghini Reventon

It’s not often that Reventons come up for sale, so we’d hate to even imagine how much this one could fetch when the bidding begins.

You probably already know all about Lambo’s F-22 Raptor-inspired hypercar. Just 20 were built between 2007 and 2009. This is number six and has 3,000 kilometres on the clock.

Ferrari F12tdf

This F12tdf in stunning triple-layer, special order Blu Elettrico paint comes from the company’s Tailor Made programme. It’s an absolutely stunning spec for the 770bhp monster, isn’t it?

Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake

Vanquish. Zagato. Shooting. Brake.

Is there anything else we need to say?

Porsche 911 Turbo S

The 993 was the last generation of 911 to feature the air-cooled flat-six engine. In the Turbo S that meant 3.6-litres of displacement, 450bhp and a 0-97kph time of 3.6secs.

Only 345 were built, and we’re pleased to report that this one has covered almost 32,187 kilometres in its 22-year life so far.
