BMW, Shell, ParkEasy, and Sunway join forces and introduce new charging bays

BMW Group Malaysia wants to expand on the 20 BMW i Charging facility across Malaysia with their new partnership with ParkEasy and Shell Malaysia and drive electrification further. Also on board the plan is Sunway Group, which earlier today showed the latest Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays all available at different locations within the Group’s properties.

There are 10 bays in total, with five located in Sunway Pyramid, three in Sunway Pinnacle, and the final two in Sunway Velocity. Like mentioned before, there will be more, with Shell and ParEasy committed to providing such facilities in other shopping malls while BMW, as the premiere e-mobility provider in the country, will benefit by way of their customers getting to use the technology to the fullest.

Following that, owners of BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) are entitled to exclusive BMW Privileges at the Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays beginning today until the 31 July 2019. This includes an e-starter pack for new BMW PHEV owners and an e-gift card to existing owners for use of the facilities at the Sunway Group properties. They can enjoy the BMWMY promo code to redeem five ParkEasy credits for use at the Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays, limited to 2,000 users.

[What is ParkEasy? It’s a mobile app that allows EV users to reserve a spot a Reserve + Shell Recharge bays up to 60 minutes ahead. The infrastructure is powered by BMW i Charging tech. BMW Group Malaysia’s charging points also include the ChargeEV platform which is possible through their partnership with the Malaysia Green Technology Corporation.
