There are seven variants available for the new 2021 BMW R 1250 GS and GS Adventure

The latest 2021 BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure range have finally arrived here in the country, courtesy of BMW Motorrad Malaysia. Seven different variants are up for grabs, including the special edition '40 Years of GS' for both the GS and GS Adventure models.

What separates the new GS from its predecessors can be seen via its X-shaped light icons found on the new headlight unit which also comes with an LED daytime-running light and cruising light. These new adaptive headlights also come with the swivel function, which allows the low beam to adjust according to the road curves and inclined position for better illumination.

Other exterior features include a new chrome exhaust system, cross-spoke wheels, and multifunction rear indicators which are all fitted as standard. If you opt for the new BMW R 1250 GS Adventure mode, you'll also receive additional auxiliary headlight and suitcase holders for you to mount those lovely looking aluminium panniers and top box.

All seven variants of the 2021 BMW R 1250 GS and GS Adventure are fitted with the 1,254cc twin-cylinder boxer engine which produces 136hp at 7,750rpm and 143Nm of torque which also features BMW ShiftCam technology, BMW Gear Shift Assistant Pro, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), and an anti-hopping clutch.

The standard riding modes have been further enhanced with the additions of the 'Pro' riding modes (Dynamic, Dynamic Pro, Enduro, and Enduro Pro) which further increases individualisation options based on what the riders need based on the riding conditions. Other highlights include:

If you're looking for something a bit more special, the '40 Years of GS' edition features the Blackstorm Metallic and Yellow colourway inspired by the iconic BMW R 100 GS model. If that's not your cup of tea, you still get it in Triple Black Style and Rallye Style. The new BMW R 1250 GS range is priced from RM119,500 to RM135,500 (OTR without insurance + three years warranty).
