Honda today announced plans to exhibit the world premiere of prototype models of the second set of “e:N Series” EVs at the 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2023), which will take place in Shanghai, China next month.

The company announced that it will showcase the lineup of electrified mobility products it offers in China at its electrified vehicle booth, including the world premiere of prototype models of e:N Series EVs, hybrid-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric models, as well as three electric bicycle (EB) models which were announced in January of this year.

Meanwhile at its intelligent technology booth, Honda will offer exhibits that enable visitors to “experience” the recently announced Honda CONNECT 4.0, the new-generation connected technology, and the Honda Sensing 360 omnidirectional advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).

Last but not least, Honda will have a wide variety of “FUN” models on display at its motorcycle booth, including the Chinese premiere of all-new global models which will be introduced to the Honda DreamWing sales channel for large-size Honda motorcycles in China, as well as a number of customized models.

Honda eN2

This announcement follows the recent unveiling of the e:N2 Concept, Honda's concept model for the second set of its e:N Series models, the Honda-brand EV model series in China.

The exterior design of the e:N2 Concept features sharp and dynamic body lines and surface finishing which highlights the metallic look, aiming to present new styling that does not belong to any existing categories. The interior was designed with an aim to realize the value of this EV as a “space” where occupants can enjoy “intellectual exhilaration.”

To this end, a clean and uncluttered digital cockpit was adopted, and smart hospitality for the occupants will be offered with the latest Honda CONNECT features as well as the effective presentation of lighting and scents.

As for driving performance, a dedicated architecture was developed exclusively for the e:N Series, as the e:N2 Concept was designed to achieve unique driving pleasure, enabling the driver to enjoy a strong “sense of unity with the vehicle, which Honda claims it can achieve through the new e:N Architecture F platform.
