In 2004, physicists Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov successfully isolated graphene from graphite, earning themselves knighthoods and Nobel Prizes in the process. Through the infusion of graphene, Hexalab’s innovative engine oil additive uses rolling friction to fill all engine component irregularities with tiny graphene particles for better repair efficiency that protects against engine wear on top of reducing heat and friction. Due to the high thermal conductivity of graphene, the use of R8-Infinity forms a protective layer of graphene along the cylinder walls and piston heads for extra heat resistance and wear-and-tear protection.
Using Hexalab’s graphene-infused R8-Infinity engine oil additive, engine protection can be improved significantly while engine performance can be increased as well. Engine noise, carbon emissions can also be reduced, with notable decrease in fuel consumption too. In improving these areas, oil change intervals can be safely prolonged by up to three times depending on driver usage.
These claims are backed by internal test results for over 20 internal combustion engine vehicles of highly varying natures, from petrol-powered luxury cars to diesel-fuelled excavators. Local dyno tests on a Perodua Myvi and Mercedes-Benz CLA200 have also demonstrated consistent gains in maximum power and torque for vehicles after using Hexalab R8-Infinity additives.
In addition to the performance gains and added protection that drivers can look forward to when using R8-Infinity, Hexalab also takes pride in producing its very own high-quality graphene used in its engine oil additive. Therefore, by processing palm kernel shell wastage through several stages of chemical structures at the processing plant, Hexalab is able to produce man-made graphene which consists of higher stability than natural graphene.
