This is a Lykan HyperSport supercar, and it isn’t.

It is, in the sense that it has all the badges and is moulded in the shape of that extraordinarily rare, Middle Eastern supercar. But also it very much isn’t, because it’s made out of aluminium and fibreglass and gets a 240bhp flat-six and was designed to be catapulted through buildings, not preen on a high street.

Yep, it’s a stunt car. Specifically, the very last stunt car of 10 built for a little-known movie called Fast & Furious 7. Don’t know what a Fast & Furious 7 is? Here’s a handy guide to the biggest movie of 2015 that you probably didn’t see, y’know, because it was a small, indie film.

During the course of this movie, the Lykan is subjected to considerable mistreatment – even sent flying through UAE skyscrapers – which meant the stunt team needed quite a few HyperSports to use. We spoke to the film’s car co-ordinator Dennis McCarthy back in 2015, and he told TopGear.com that the stunt repLykans used Porsche Boxster flat-six engines.

The engines themselves were putting out around 300bhp – a far cry from the Lykan’s real-life 750bhp – but “even that was too much to use on a marble floor”, McCarthy told us.

“We really did jump them,” he said. “Typically what you see on screen is mostly what’s actually happening.”

As such, this one’s wearing a little… damage. The wing mirrors have been torn off. The plexiglass windows and windscreen and the paint is all scratched. The rear wheel hubs are… missing. The upper rear air intake… isn’t there anymore. The grille is damaged too.

It’s also a bit scuffed up inside but hey, it’s a real-life movie car! One that you can’t actually drive on the road! It’s currently under auction via RubiX, as a physical partner to something called an ‘NFT’. Apparently, that means ‘non-fungible token’. If you know, you know, right? Right?

Anyway, it’s estimated to sell for anywhere between $750k (RM3.1m) and $2.2m (RM9m) (the current bidding sits at just over half a million dollars (RM2.1m)).
