2023 BMW K1600 B launched in Malaysia - RM173,500
The "Bagger" is available in Black Storm Metallic and Manhattan Metallic Matte (Style Exclusive) colours
BMW Motorrad Malaysia today announced the arrival of the New BMW K 1600 B, further expanding their local portfolio of powerful motorcycles in the touring segment.
Available in Black Storm Metallic and Manhattan Metallic Matte (Style Exclusive), the Bagger defines its style with a shortened windscreen and a striking rear section featuring LED indicators and brake lights integrated into the side cases.
The black six-cylinder in-line engine with Engine Protection Guard completes the strong-charactered overall image. With the accessorised forged handlebars, the Bagger can be easily steered towards the horizon.
The Bagger also illuminates the road ahead with a fully LED headlight featuring the Light Icon and Adaptive Cornering Light, complete with LED Auxiliary Lights and Ground-Level Lighting.
The oil/water cooled four-stroke in-line six-cylinder engine sits at the heart of the Bagger with two overhead camshafts placed above the drive shaft, bearing a capacity of 1,649 cc that is capable of 160 hp at 6,750 rpm.
The maximum torque of 180 Nm at 5,250 rpm develops an incomparable and effortless push force, allowing the Bagger to reach a maximum speed of 200km/h (180km/h if with floorboards). Riders can also make use of the Reverse Assistant that equip the Bagger as standard, for effortless manoeuvring.
Power is transmitted to the New BMW K 1600 B via a multiple-disc clutch in oil bath with a six-speed helical-toothed transmission, allowing for dynamic bends and greater agility.
The centrepiece of the suspension is the cast aluminium bridge-type frame, that is complemented by the BMW Motorrad Duolever on a central spring strut suspension in the front, while the rear suspension is offered via the BMW Motorrad Paralever.
The New BMW K 1600 B also features the BMW Motorrad Integral ABS Pro and the Automatic Stability Control (ASC), along with three riding modes: Rain, Road and Dynamic.
The Bagger is also equipped with engine brake control (MSR), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Start Control (HSC), electronic cruise control, as well as Dynamic ESA Next Generation (with Automatic Load Levelling) which ensures optimum handling and riding dynamics.
The Bagger is also equipped with the Gear Shift Assistant Pro, Reverse Assistant, and Tyre Pressure Control (RDC) as standard.
Riders of the New BMW K 1600 B can also enjoy the on-board computer featuring a 10.25-inch colour TFT display with Connectivity and Integrated Map Navigation powered by the BMW Motorrad Connected App, along with a charging storage for mobile phones (USB-C).
The four configurable favourites button cluster further supports intuitive operation, while the Keyless Ride system replaces the conventional ignition for greater riding convenience.
That being said, the 2023 BMW K1600 B is priced at RM173,500 and comes with a 3-Year Warranty and 3-Year Roadside Assistance Programmes.
