The 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT looks better and better the longer you look at it

Suzuki Motor Corporation has launched its latest sport-touring offering in the form of the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT. Based on the outgoing GSX-S1000F, the GSX-S1000GT has been fully remodeled and will arrive in showrooms around the globe starting October (in stages, of course).

For those looking to go the extra mile, the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT has been comprehensively designed to offer ease of use for everyday riders, comfort, as well as high-stability during those long journeys. It has also adopted some of Suzuki's latest electronic riding aids for a much-improved riding experience as a whole.

This includes the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) which features the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), bi-directional quickshifter, ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, and a new 6.5-inch full-colour TFT LCD screen that is said to be easy on the eyes. Owners can also connect their smartphones via the Suzuki mySPIN app to control things such as navigation, calls, music, and more.

Going back to styling, the new GSX-S1000GT carries that very sharp and modern sport-tourer vibe that a lot of enthusiasts tend to look out for. Things like its tall windscreen, side cases, floating handlebars, and more present an image of a Suzuki bike that you would want to ride, and ride far.

Powered by a 999cc inline-four engine developed from the GSX-R1000 K5 unit, this sport-tourer produces 152hp at 11,000rpm and 106Nm of torque at 9,250rpm. Combined with a 19-litre fuel tank, the GSX-S1000GT is definitely designed to travel the distance.

If you happen to live in the UK, the price for the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT starts at £11,599, which is around the RM66,000 mark. Three colours are up for grabs - Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Reflective Blue, and Glass Sparkle Black. Will it come to Malaysia? We'll see in 2022.
