The Porsche Taycan GTS is the first EV from Porsche that can travel over 500km

If there's ever a time to get into EVs and you want the best of the best, Sime Darby Auto Performance (they handle Porsche for the Malaysian market) has announced the official price for their latest EV variant yet, the 2022 Porsche Taycan GTS. If you're looking for the ultimate Taycan with a boost of power, this is the variant for you (that's not as pricey as the Taycan Turbo).

The difference is actually quite noticeable between the Taycan and the Taycan GTS. Compared to the base Taycan with its 408PS power output that allows it to hit 0-100km/h in just 5.4 seconds, the Taycan GTS gets 598PS to play with which gives it the ability to hit 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds (with Launch Control). Drive it sensibly and you can exceed the 500km travel distance on a single full charge (WLTP figures).

Its top speed is also increased to a limited 250km/h (220km/h for the base Taycan). Porsche also added a GTS-specific drivetrain (together with Porsche Active Suspension Management) for this model where it is said to have better agility as well as that Porsche Electric Sport Sound to make 'every drive an event'. The Taycan GTS also looks good with its SportDesign upper valance, GTS side skirts, and more.

This Taycan also comes with the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus) where the LED main headlights are fitted with matrix beam in black. All logos surrounding the GTS are also finished in black as one of the easier ways to tell that this is indeed the Taycan GTS variant. If you're feeling a bit more extra, get the optional panoramic roof with variable light control.

As for the insides, the Taycan GTS features extensive coverage of Race-Tex microfibre material together with smooth-finish black leather. The Adaptive Sports seats are also another highlight for the GTS, together with Performance Battery Plus, and PTV Plus (Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus) all fitted as standard equipment.

Those who are keen on getting their own Porsche Taycan should also take note that the 2022 pricing has been updated from RM508,000 to RM798,000 depending on the variant (SST exemption included). The Porsche Taycan GTS will be available from Q2 2022.
