Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today announced the availability of the new locally-assembled Mercedes-Benz GLC 300e 4MATIC Coupé plug-in hybrid SUV.

Priced at RM374,073 until the end of the Sales Tax exemption, the GLC 300e Coupé comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and an electric motor that produces a combined output of 320 PS and 700 Nm.

The all-electric range on the other hand, is rated at about 40 km.

Sending all that power to all four wheels are the 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic gearbox and the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. In terms of performance, the GLC 300e Coupe does the century sprint in 5.7 seconds, and hits a top speed of 230 km/h. In pure EV mode, the SUV is capable of reaching 140 km/h.

Design wise, highlights at the front end include the powerfully contoured diamond radiator grille with integrated star and single louvre typical of a Coupé complemented by the distinctive air intakes and the new contours of the standard-fit Multibeam LED headlamps featuring Adaptive High beam Assist.

The SUV also features the AMG Line specifications and night package, including the 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels and braking system with larger front disc brakes.

Inside, the cabin features trim elements in open-pore black ash wood centre control and a light longitudinal-grain aluminium trim, featuring the AMG Line interior and leather upholstery with a multifunction sports steering wheel wrapped in premium nappa leather.

Ambient lighting and interior lighting are visually striking as always, and it has the dashboard and door beltlines in Artico man-made leather, featuring 4-way lumbar support for the seats and the "Mercedes-Benz" lettering, illuminated on the door sill panels.

While the multifunctional touchpad improves the cars operations further with the GLC 300e Coupé, the all-digital instrument display pairs perfectly with the media display, thanks to the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system.

This charging cable, also called a Mode 2 cable, enables the vehicle battery to be charged via a household socket at up to 1.8 kW (230 V, 1-phase, 8 A), and is suitable for type G BS 1363 sockets.
