Mercedes-Benz Malaysia officially welcomed the all-new Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ sedan earlier today.

Priced at RM419,888 on the road without insurance, the all-new EQE sedan is underpinned by the same EVA 2 platform as the EQS 450+.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the EQE here is essentially a more compact version of the EQS as it comes with most of the bells and whistles as its larger sibling.

Producing a maximum output of 292 hp and 565 Nm of torque, the EQE 350+ is capable of hitting a limited top speed of 210 km/h, and sprints from naught to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds.

Meanwhile the battery in the EQE has a usable energy content of 90.56 kWh, and the range of up to 669 km according to the WLTP cycle.

In case you're wondering how long it takes to charge the new Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+, AC charging from 10% to 80% takes 8 hours and 15 minutes using a 11kW charger, while DC charging using a 170kW charger takes 32 minutes for the battery to go from 10% to 80%.

All EQE models have an electric drivetrain (eATS) on the rear axle. The electric motors are permanently excited synchronous motors (PSM). With the PSM, the rotor of the AC motor is fitted with permanent magnets and therefore does not need to be supplied with power.

Featuring an AMG Line design package, key features on the exterior include a set of 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-allyo wheels, Digital Light with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, flush door handles, and frameless doors just to name a few.

Making things more practical are features like the stowage compartment beneath the centre console, independent boot locking, a flex bottle holder, a pull-out sun visor, and split-folding rear seats.

That being said, the EQE 350+ is currently being imported fully, and comes with the same warranty coverage as the EQS 450+, which includes a 4-year warranty for the car itself, and 10-years or 250,000 km warranty for the battery pack.
