2021 Suzuki Swift Sport now open for booking - est RM145,000?

By sep, 06 April 2021

The latest news surrounding the Suzuki four-wheel brand here in Malaysia has revolved around its new franchise holder here in Malaysia, Naza Eastern Motors. And that was just last week. This week, they will most likely commence a launch where all signs are pointing towards the 2021 Suzuki Swift Sport. If you've been eyeing this car for a while, looks like its arrival is just around the corner.

It seems that one of the Naza sales rep has posted that the 2021 Suzuki Swift Sport is already open for booking, with an estimated price of around RM145,000. That's quite a jump in price compared to the previous-gen model which was introduced back in 2013 at around RM100,000. The new 2021 Suzuki Swift Sport is also said to be a fully imported CBU unit directly from Japan, so you have that going on.

In terms of specs, it is most likely that the unit they'll bring in will come equipped with a 1.4-litre Boosterjet four-cylinder petrol engine (K14C) which is able to churn out around 138hp and 230Nm of torque. The Japanese market has the luxury of choosing either six-speed manual or automatic transmission, but it is most likely that we will only get the auto. No news on the mild-hybrid variant, either.

According to the Facebook post, there's also an indicator that the waiting period for this particular Suzuki is at around two months. If you're still interested and willing to wait for a new Suzuki to arrive at your doorstep, you might just get one just after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
