The 2021 Mazda CX-3 has finally been unveiled here in Malaysia with updated connectivity and advanced safety features. This compact crossover SUV has been specifically developed with Mazda’s unique design philosophy, driving dynamics, and what most has referred to as a car that comes with a ‘perfect driving position’.

Looking at the exterior, the 2021 Mazda CX-3 comes ready will all-LED lighting system for its headlights (with auto on/off and levelling functions), daytime-running lights, and taillights. Other notable features include a set of 18-inch aluminium alloy wheels, roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, dual exhaust tips, and newly added features – a power sunroof and front parking sensors.

Step inside its updated and modern cabin and you’ll find new leatherette-fabric seats and a 360° View Monitor that further enhances the other standard features available in the new CX-3 which are Active Driving Display, seven-inch full-colour touchscreen display plus Mazda Connect (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), six-speaker audio system, plus many more.

As for safety features, the 2021 Mazda CX-3 now features new additions in the form of High Beam Control (HBC), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Driver Attention Alert (DAA), and Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) for both front and rear. Other standard safety features are still available from six airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control System (TCS), plus many more.

Power is adequately produced via its Skyactiv-G 2.0 gasoline engine that punches out 154hp at 6,000rpm and 206Nm of torque as low as 2,800rpm. Handling all that juice before they hit the front wheels is done through its Skyactiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with Manual Shift mode.

Fully-imported from Japan, the 2021 Mazda CX-3 is priced at RM130,729 (on-the-road without insurance + 50% SST reduction until the end of June 2021). Customers can choose between five different colour options – Soul Red Crystal, Snowflake White Pearl, Deep Crystal Blue, Machine Gray, and the new Polymetal Gray.
