2021 KTM 200 Duke launched in Malaysia - RM12,888

By sep, 29 March 2021

The past weekend saw the launch of the updated 2021 KTM 200 Duke for the Malaysian market. It's quite an interesting choice to focus on the 200cc Duke offering first before the 250cc or 390cc, but we're probably guessing that KTM Malaysia wants to kickstart the new year with a bike that's very affordable for most folks here in the country.

Speaking of affordability, you can now get the 2021 KTM 200 Duke at RM12,888 (excluding insurance, road tax, and registration). So what's different between this new Duke and the previous-generation model launched back in 2018? First and foremost, the 200 Duke now carries a design DNA that is a lot closer to its bigger brother, the 390 Duke.

Fitted with a new all-LED headlamp, the 2021 KTM 200 Duke is also fitted with daytime running lights (DRLs) for that extra illumination prowess. Also, like the 390 Duke, the 2021 KTM 200 Duke also comes with a bigger 13.4-litre fuel tank, as well as a bigger and wider seat. So that's comfort and agility slightly enhanced for everyday rides.

What about power? Fitted with a 200cc single-cylinder DOHC liquid-cooled banger that's enhanced with a new airbox and exhaust (to meet the strict requirements of Euro5), that produces 26hp. In its class, the 2021 KTM 200 Duke is said to be the most powerful.

Other features include:

  • Upside-down forks (WP Suspension)
  • 17-inch cast alloy racing wheels
  • ByBre brakes (300mm front, 230mm rear)
  • Single-channel ABS
  • Digital LCD display
  • Two colour options (Orange/Black and White/Black)
