The new 2021 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S has landed in Malaysia with all the latest updates and upgrades

The latest 2021 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S has been officially launched right here in Malaysia, six months after the global unveiling. The latest-generation adventure-tourer from KTM comes with a lot of updates and upgrades, although its overall looks have been maintained. But do not be fooled by the appearance, it's definitely a different beast altogether.

Starting with the chassis, the latest KTM 1290 Super Adventure S comes with a new and shorter frame, new subframe, and longer swingarm which promote better weight distribution, riding agility, and stability. In other words, the new Super Adventure S is sportier and more comfortable than ever.

When it comes to comfort, new ergonomics have been embedded into the new adventure-tourer thanks to its lower seat height, updated bodywork, newly-positioned handlebar levers, and a new 23-litre fuel tank with a keyless fuel cap system. Other updates include a seven-inch TFT screen and a new windscreen.

Going straight to firepower, the 2021 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S is fitted with a revised 1,301cc LC8 V-twin engine that produces 160hp and 138Nm of torque. All the revisions come in the form of a thinner engine case, new pistons, upgraded cooling system, new exhaust unit, and a tasty PANKL gear system.

• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Bosch’s latest radar technology
• Lean angle-dependent Motorcycle Traction Control
• Cornering ABS and Offroad ABS systems
• WP APEX Semi-Active suspension + more
