2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R lands in Indonesia - RM150,000

As reported yesterday, Kawasaki Indonesia introduced the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R with four new colour options for its local market. Together with that launch was the unveiling of the brand's latest and most advanced superbike yet, the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

Unveiled globally back in November 2020, the new ZX-10R offers enhanced aerodynamic properties thanks to its redesigned bodywork. While it might look completely brand new, the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is said by many to be a 'heavily revised' version rather than an all-out new model.

With that being said, the 2021 ZX-10R does carry a lot of race-inspired parts and features taken directly from the world of WorldSBK, a race series that Kawasaki has been dominating for the past five years. Its front end alone carries the most significant change thanks to its new redesigned front fairing with integrated winglets, new LED headlights, and a taller windscreen.

Housed within that is a new full TFT screen that allows the rider to connect their smartphone, go through the bike's selectable riding modes, access electronic cruise control, and other electronic riding aids like cornering ABS, engine brake control, and our personal favourite, launch control.

Powering this newly-revised Kawasaki superbike package is a 998cc inline-four engine that produces 200hp and 115Nm of torque. Fully Euro5-compliant, the power unit is also enhanced with WorldSBK-spec parts like its independent air-cooled oil cooler, electronic throttle valves, exhaust unit, and revised transmission ratios (shorter first three gears for better acceleration & longer top three gears for enhanced top-end speed as well as fuel consumption).

Indonesians will be able to get one of their very own 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R at IDR520,000,000 which is around the RM150,000 mark. For that price tag, Kawasaki Indonesia is packaging this particular offer with a bidirectional quick-shifter, Öhlins electronic steering damper, and cruise control as part of the bike's standard equipment.
