The 2021 Honda CBR150R has finally landed. Fancy the price tag?

Boon Siew Honda has unveiled its latest offering for the Malaysian market in the form of the 2021 Honda CBR150R. The 150cc sports bike model was launched in Indonesia back in January and its arrival here in the country is set to further make the 150cc segment even more competitive.

Those who adore the exterior design of the Honda CBR250RR but are not willing to cough up the price tag can expect the CBR150R to be just as interesting. Featuring the twin headlight setup, the new CBR150R is just as sporty as its 250cc sibling, which also includes all-LED lighting.

In terms of firepower, the 2021 Honda CBR150R is fitted with a 149cc single-cylinder DOHC liquid-cooled engine that produces around 16hp (12kW) at 9,000rpm and 14.4Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. All that power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed manual gearbox and just like the CBR250RR, it also comes with an assist/slipper clutch.

Other features include:

  • USD gold front fork (non-adjustable)
  • Rear monoshock (preload adjustable)
  • 17-inch cast alloy wheels (100/80 front, 130/70 rear)
  • Disc brake setup (single front & rear)
  • Dual-channel ABS
  • Fully-digital speedometer
  • Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
  • 139kg wet weight

Boon Siew Honda has priced the 2021 Honda CBR150R at RM12,499 (excluding insurance, road tax, and registration). This particular model will be available in Matte Charcoal Gray Metallic and Candy Scintillate Red.
