Harley-Davidson’s first-ever adventure-tourer has finally debuted globally and for those who are interested, it’s called the 2021 Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250. Designed to be rugged, powerful, and technologically advanced, it’s a bike that you can go the distance as well as travel on the roads less travelled (and less paved).
Going straight to power figures, the Pan America comes equipped with a 1,250cc V-twin liquid-cooled engine which produces 150hp and 127Nm of torque revving as high as 9,500rpm. Dubbed the ‘Revolution Max’ engine, the Pan America uses its V-twin power plant as the central member of the chassis which leads to a wet weight of 242kg (258kg for the Pan America 1250 Special).
The chassis is further enhanced with the additions of Brembo brakes (front dual 320mm radial monoblock four-piston caliper + rear 280mm floating single-piston caliper), fully-adjustable Showa suspension package (47mm inverted front fork + Linkage-mounted, piggyback monoshock), cast-aluminium wheels and swingarm, Michelin Scorcher Adventure radial tyres, 21.2-litre fuel tank, 868mm seat height, and a host of electronic riding aids that help to improve the overall riding experience no matter the riding condition.
