2021 Aprilia RS 660 now open for bookings in Malaysia – RM60,000?

By sep, 25 February 2021

Aprilia authorised dealers across Malaysia has begun accepting bookings for the highly-awaited 2021 Aprilia RS 660. The model which was said to be launched at the end of last year was significantly delayed to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, Aprilia Malaysia has vowed that the Italian middleweight sports bike will arrive with a very attractive price package.

Reliable sources have indicated that the 2021 Aprilia RS 660 will be priced somewhere north of the RM60,000 mark but that has yet to be confirmed by Aprilia Malaysia. For obvious reasons, the official price tag will be unveiled during its official launch and that might just be around the corner. For those who are interested (and living within the Klang Valley area), you can head over to Motoplex Petaling Jaya (next to the Gasket Alley PJ) to know more about this middleweight Italian beauty.

In terms of firepower, the 2021 Aprilia RS 660 is fitted with a 660cc parallel-twin engine that produces around 100hp at 10,500rpm and 67Nm of torque at 8,500rpm. Those who have tested this baby outside of Malaysia had nothing but praises, especially how it’s able to deliver its power in a smooth yet exhilarating manner.

Handling has also been stated as one of the RS 660’s strong selling points considering its dry weight of only 169kg. That particular area is further amplified with Aprilia’s electronic riding suites, the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC). In essence, you’ll get almost all the goodies available on the brand’s top-of-the-line superbike, the RSV4.

We’re talking advanced traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, and pretty much everything else that Aprilia is able to stuff into this 660cc package. This also includes Aprilia’s tasty quickshifter unit (for both upshifts and downshifts), selectable riding modes, premium hardware for its suspension and brakes, plus many more.

As stated above, the 2021 Aprilia RS 660 is now open for bookings and if you’re interested to ‘upgrade’, just head over to any of Aprilia Malaysia’s authorised dealers and they’ll be more than happy to sort you out. Our best guess that it’ll be officially introduced sometime at the end of March or early April. Excited, much? We sure are.
