Yamaha bikes assembler and distributor Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) announced new colourway options for its popular Yamaha X-Max 250 ABS maxi-scooter offering today.

Launched back in March 2018, the quarter-litre maxi-scooter has been well received by many locally. Today’s announcement sees HLYM refreshing the model for the new year with a trio of brand new matte finish colours – blue, silver and grey.

These new colours replace the red and blue hues offered prior, sporting a nice new premium touch to an otherwise impeccable scooter. Best of all, HLYM also says that the new colourway doesn’t affect the scooter’s existing base price of RM21,500 (excluding insurance and registration costs) as well.

To refresh your memory, the X-Max 250 is motivated by a peppy liquid-cooled 250cc single-cylinder mill that thumps out 22.8hp and 24.3Nm, and is paired with a twist-and-go CVT automatic transmission.

Notable on board features include all-round disc brakes, both ABS and traction control suites, a fully digital LCD instrument display, LED headlight, keyless ignition, 12-volt charging socket, large underseat storage bin, as well as both an adjustable handlebar and windscreen assembly.

HLYM says the 2020MY Yamaha X-Max 250 with its new colours will be available at all authorised Yamaha dealership starting this month.
