2020 Honda RS150R announced – from RM8,199
Boon Siew Honda have announced the availability of its lightly refreshed RS150R offering. In its 2020 model year guise, the popular 150cc ‘supercub’ sees a few mild changes plus a host of new colourway options to match.
According to Boon Siew Honda, the 2020-spec RS150R’s rear fender has been redesigned. It now features a sleeker taillight with independent placement of the signal lights for better visual impact.
Besides that, the 2020MY Honda RS150R also benefits with a new digital LCD dash display. This new and sportier-looking unit replaces the outgoing version’s hybrid analogue-digital display design.
Also new in the 2020 Honda RS150R are its colourway options, of which there are four in total. Retained here is ever-popular Repsol livery option, whilst the other three choices are all new and now matched with new gold-finished 17-inch wheels.
Notable here besides the new pearl black and pearl blue options is the inclusion of a new ‘Trico’ colourway, which was likely inspired by the racy livery that dresses the recently unveiled Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade superbike.
Apart from this, there are no changes mechanically, meaning the RS150R still retains its liquid-cooled 149cc single-cylinder and six-speed manual chain drive setup as before, the former thumping out roughly 15bhp and 13.6Nm of twist.
Available now through authorised dealers nationwide, the 2020-spec Honda RS150R commands a basic retail price of RM8,199 in standard colourways. The Repsol-liveried option, on the other hand, commands a higher basic figure of RM8,499.
Said prices include a two-year or 20,000km warranty coverage from Boon Siew Honda.
