The roars of 112 Lamborghinis rocked on the streets of Kuala Lumpur last Saturday as members of Lamborghini Owners Malaysia (LOM) assembled to break the record for the largest gathering of Lamborghinis in Malaysia.

The previous record was set back in 2013 in conjunction with Lamborghini’s global 50th anniversary celebrations, where 77 owners from Malaysia and Singapore gathered and made it into the Malaysia Book of Records.

Fast forward nine years, a new record was set last Saturday, but this time, the gathering comprised only of Lamborghini owners from across Peninsular Malaysia.

This record-breaking gathering was not only joined by existing members of LOM but also Lamborghini owners who were keen to be part of the expanding club.

“This milestone in our club’s history also marks our ode to the legendary Lamborghini brand, which celebrates beauty and performance, infused by an indomitable spirit”, said Roslan Rosdi, President of LOM.

Taking place at the open-air carpark fronting the stately Mandarin Oriental hotel in the heart of the city centre, onlookers were treated to a visual and auditory feast.

Spotted were vintage and rare Lamborghini models such as the Gallardo Malaysia Limited Edition (of which only 20 were ever produced) and Murcielago amidst more modern standouts such as the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, Aventador SVJ and Urus SUV.

The highlight of the day was when officials from the Malaysian Book of Records handed over the certificate confirming the setting of a new record.

Following a quick celebration at the carpark, a convoy of around 112 Lamborghinis departed from the city to Bukit Tinggi  to enjoy the "Bulls Ball" gala dinner at the La Chateau Spa & Wellness Resort.

“We had a fantastic turnout today and since this is a rare opportunity for all of us to get together, we are going to celebrate the members who made today happen in true Lamborghini spirit and style,” he said.

The Italian Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Massimo Rustico, accompanied by Roslan Rosdi and Dato’ Rakesh, were spotted flagging off the carcade as the drivers revved their engines and navigated their way to the highlands thus, unofficially creating the longest single line of Lamborghinis in a convoy.

Partners for the event include CERES Fine Jewelry, ODR Lubricants, Pernod Ricard Malaysia, Apollo Men's Wellness Center, Dr. SHEVA, Muscle Mania Club, Quantum Metal, Roger Dubuis, BarTheHood, The StarHill, Double Creative, The Marinis Group, Nextdor Property Communications, Tarbush Restaurant, XFactor Events, Big Ass Fans, DMY, Sauda Gold, EGLAF, Phatjuice, Chic Ole, Morion, Rhythm Productions, Vivo, WrapXpert, LFR and EliteSoft ODR.

LOM was established in 2014 with only 50 members. Today, the club for Italian supercar aficionados boasts 150 loyal members.
