Three new models were introduced by Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia earlier today: the new Beetle, Vento ALLSTAR and Vento GT. You can see all these cars yourself by coming over to Mid Valley Megamall and drop by the VW roadshow from 24 to 28 May 2017.
Managing Director of VPCM, Erik Winter said that the new offerings are targeted to those wanting to stand out from the crowd. “We not only want to make our cars more accessible to Malaysians, but we also want to give them more options with value added benefits, whilst ensuring that the cars they drive are instant head-turners. With the new Beetle, the ALLSTAR series and the Vento GT, our customers now have an even wider array of products from Volkswagen in time for the upcoming Raya festivities.”

Priced from RM136,888 and updated with a 2-zone Climatronic air-conditioning system, composition media with touch screen display with App-Connect, leather trim “Vienna” seats with front seat lumbar support, bi-xenon headlamps and LED daytime running lights.
The 1.2-litre engine (turbocharged) outputs 104bhp and 175Nm which goes to the 7-speed DSG transmission.
There are two variants which are Design and Sport; and in six colours: Pure White, Tornado Red, Blue Silk, Dark Bronze, Habanero Orange and White Silver.
Vento ALLSTAR
Obviously, this is the second ALLSTAR edition after the Polo that was released a few weeks ago. Similarly, the Vento ALLSTAR offers exclusive accessories namely leather seats, aluminium sports pedals, rear spoiler, black door strips and trunk garnish, ‘ALLSTAR’ scuff plates, emblems and carpet mats. These are worth RM7,000.
Additionally, the Vento ALLSTAR comes with the new MY VW Drive App which, among others, show the driver information such as driving style and fuel consumption. Also, users will also be able to easiy obtain immediate help from Mondial Roadside Assistance in the case of an emergency.
Up front, the 1.6 MPI engine produces 104bhp and 153Nm, offering a claimed fuel consumption of 6.5L/100km.
Available in Reflex Silver or Candy White colours, the Vento ALLSTAR edition is priced at RM78,888.
Vento GT
Somewhat similar to the Vento ALLSTAR, the GT trim gives a long list of exclusive accessories that includes “Satin” black roof and exterior mirror wraps, black door strips, leather seats, aluminium sports pedals, GT Aerokit, ‘GT’ scuff plates, emblems and carpet mats.
Power is rated at 104bhp while torque is 175Nm coming from a 1.2L turbocharged TSI engine. With help from the 7-speed DSG the Vento GT can achieve 5.5L/100km in fuel consumption.
Price is RM89,888.
