AMG strikes up streetwear partnership with Palace

By topgear, 01 June 2021

Apparently, motor racing and skateboarding share some things in common. At least that seems to be the case with Mercedes-AMG's first ever collaboration with Palace Skateboards, a London-based skateboarding and fashion label. The collaboration spawns the first Palace-designed race car livery, as well as a co-branded collection of apparel and accessories known as the Palace AMG Collection.

The first AMG race car to receive this treatment is Mercedes-AMG Team HRT GT3 machine with the starting number six at the Nurburgring ADAC Total 24-hour race. Prominently displayed on the Palace Mercedes-AMG GT3’s bonnet is a white sabre-toothed tiger that supposedly symbolises the partnership between both brands. The tiger and its habitat’s orange and violet colour palette, plus the black and white tones, are also adopted in the Palace AMG Collection.

The collection is made up of Palace’s basics; Gore-Tex jacket and trousers plus hoodies included; accessories such as driving gloves and a skateboard with sets of matching AMG wheel rim design complete the range. Rounding off the collaboration is the “Get Sehr Fast” campaign that is set to take place at the Nurburgring North Loop.
