The teases and promos have passed, and the new City is finally launched. Three variants in total just like before: the S, E and top-of-the-line V. Prices are as below:

City S – RM78,300
City E – RM84,600
City V – RM92,000

There is no increase in price over the previous City for the V and E variants, with a Rm1,000 decrease for the S. Not bad.

Especially when you consider that the new City comes with plenty of goodies across all variants. This includes Hill Start Assist, Smart Entry, dual tone alloy wheels, push start button, auto retractable side mirrors and LED daytime running lights. Hang on, there’s one more – even VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist is standard.

No change to what’s underneath the bonnet, understandably. The 1.5L engine outputs 118bhp (at 6000rpm) and 145Nm (at 4700rpm) which goes through a CVT box. The company claims a fuel consumption figure of 5.7L/100km.

The highest spec V variant comes with LED headlights with LED DRL, LED front fog lights, LED taillights and LED third brake lights integrated into the duck tail spoiler. Inside it also comes with leather wrapped seats, 8 speakers, paddle shifters and six airbags.

There are five colours available for this facelifted Honda City namely Lunar Silver Metallic, Dark Ruby Red Pearl, Taffetta White, Modern Steel Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.

The City will also come with a 5-year warranty with unlimited mileage. Service intervals is 10,000km. The current 3S Promotion by Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. entitles Honda customers, particularly new City owners, to two years of free service (parts and labour).
