First look at Seat’s new Mii

First there was this. Then there was this. And now there's this - the Seat Mii.

Unsurprisingly, the only surprise is that there aren't really any surprises.

Like the VW Up and Skoda Citigo it is 3.55 metres long. You can buy it as a three-door from spring 2012 or a five-door a few months later. It has a 1.0-litre petrol engine that produces either 60bhp or 75bhp. It weighs 854kg and has a CO2 figure of 97g/km.

Like its two cousins, and something we haven't really mentioned so far, there also frickin' LASERS. It has something called City Safety Assist - in the event of DANGER the Mii warns its driver, or even brakes automatically. It works thusly: a laser sensor recognises other vehicles in front and, through the mystery of technology, works out whether they're driving or stationary. Then it warns the driver when there is the imminent threat of an accident at speeds of less than 18mph. If they don't react, it'll brake automatically.

Don't worry. It's got airbags as well.

You'll be able to pimp your Mii, too. You can go for one of two packages - Chic and Sport. The former gets you a leather steering wheel and extra chintz (providing you tick the chrome pack option) and the latter gives you alloy wheels, tints and lowered suspension.

We've only driven the Up so far, but we definitely liked it. So which dinky little city car gets your vote so far, TG.commers. The VW Up, the Skoda Citigo or the Seat Mii?
