Video: Up close with the RM2.7mil Porsche 911 Speedster
Porsche Malaysia (Sime Darby Auto Performance - SDAP) stole headlines last week with the local debut of the Porsche 911 Speedster special, albeit virtually.
It didn’t take long before we were granted access to view the car physically and, as you can see in the feature video above, the 911 Speedster is quite the car indeed.
Well, when you’ve got the 991-gen 911 GT3 RS’s bones, the 991-gen 911 GT3’s driveline complete with a stick and three-pedal setup, as well as classic Porsche open-top styling, it’s no surprise as to how this special can command its staggering RM2.7million base price tag sans options and on-road costs.

The Speedster is limited to just 1,948 units and, despite the 991 platform’s reported end of production; you can still order this open-top special with Porsche Malaysia. If you’ve got the means and desire to have one, you’d best hurry as we reckon that brand new right-hand-drive versions will be both few and very far apart…
