A new mid-engined V8 Ferrari is always huge news, and we’ll get our first glimpse of the F8 Tributo in the flesh at this year’s Geneva Show. The 710bhp monster will be a direct rival for McLaren’s 720S and borrows plenty of ideas from the 488 Pista.

We loved the 2017 Honda Urban EV concept, and we still love it in its almost production-ready E Prototype form. Honda says you’ll be able to buy one at the end of this year and it’ll be shown to the public for the first time in Switzerland. We managed to bag ourselves a sneak peek though – check out this video for a look around.

Volkswagen’s I.D. range is accelerating the company’s switch to electric power, and its skateboard system means you can bolt pretty much any body-style onto the top of the MEB platform.

It’ll prove this by bringing a modern-day version of the beach buggy to Geneva – echoing the style of the classic Meyers Manx from the 1960s.

Strangely, despite all of its attempts to clean up its image, VW will also bring this huge, diesel-powered V8 Touareg to Switzerland. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo motor will produce 419bhp, 900Nm of torque and whimpering cries from environmentalists everywhere.

Elsewhere on their stand will be the new T-Roc R, which uses all the gubbins from the soon-to-die Golf R and packages them in a slightly taller box.

Above is the Koenigsegg Agera RS, and with 1,160bhp on tap it certainly isn’t slow. This is Koenigsegg though, so its replacement will produce a frankly bonkers 1,400bhp.

Production of the Agera RS finished last summer though and Christian von Koenigsegg himself confirmed to us that the its replacement will debut at Geneva this year. Will it steal the show?

The above sketch will become a concept car for the Geneva Motor Show. That concept will then become a production car in a couple of years’ time. It’ll be called the Q4 e-tron and will be the smaller ‘entry-level’ electric offering from Audi.

Good things are happening at Peugeot. The new 208 looks fantastic and will come in electric guise, and then there’s the above. That, internet, is a 400bhp hybrid 508 with 4WD. Looks great doesn’t it? Unfortunately, it’s only a concept for now and we don’t know how much of it could eventually see production. Fingers crossed.

Perhaps one of the most hotly-anticipated cars of 2019 is the Pininfarina Battista. The Italian design house has a ridiculous back catalogue of cars it has styled throughout its 90-year history, but the Battista will be its first ever solo production car.

Considering it’s a 1,900bhp EV hypercar costing £1.7m, we’d wager it’ll be pretty darn special.

It’s another EV, although this one won’t be quite as quick as Pininfarina’s. Seat’s first proper EV is still a concept, but previews a 201bhp electric family hatchback that’s set to go on sale in 2020. It’s a great looking thing too, and with 260 miles of range on a single charge it should do well in a competitive sector.

Seat will also show the Minimo concept, which seems to be a Spanish rival for the Renault Twizy. There’s more info here…

Alongside the public debut of the new Continental GT Convertible will be the Bentley Bentayga Speed. With a 190mph (306kph) top end it’s the new world’s fastest SUV, beating the Lamborghini Urus by a whole 0.5mph.

Ferdinand Piëch was a giant of the car industry who completely transformed the fortunes of the VW Group. His grandfather was Ferdinand Porsche – you may have heard of him. No pressure on Piëch’s son Anton and his new car company then.

Geneva will see the reveal of this – a two-door, two-seat electric sports car called the Mark Zero.

We’ve been obsessed with Polestar’s electric venture for a while now, and excitement is high in the TG office for the unveil of the 2. It’s essentially a Tesla Model 3 rival with a huge 500km range and modern Swedish styling.

Aston is building a mid-engined supercar codenamed the Project 003, and all things point to the covers being whipped off at Geneva. We’re told it’ll be fitted with a ‘turbocharged petrol-electric hybrid engine’.

Also at the show will be the All-Terrain Concept – an electric SUV from Aston’s reborn luxury branch Lagonda.

And finally, in what could descend into all-out war, two completely separate car companies will showcase new models at Geneva under exactly the same name. Hispano Suiza is the moniker under contention – one car will be an electric sports car, the other a 1,085bhp twin-turbo V10 supercar. Let the games begin…
