The new Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 radial tyres was launched earlier today, the latest generation eco-tyre that puts an emphasis on three main criteria: to provide fuel efficiency, safer wet handling and lasts longer.

Traditionally, the Ecopia name has always been about helping vehicles achieve better fuel efficiency through lowered rolling resistance but that focus on the two other qualities makes the EP300 a much balanced product, hence the tagline “When You Want It All”.

The EP300 is tested and proven to achieve significant fuel savings of up to 2 litres for every full tank compared with conventional tyres. In tests comparing EP300 to the previous ECOPIA generation, the results demonstrate that the new technologies and design concept adopted for EP300 help to achieve an improved fuel savings, while offering drivers additional travelling distance of up to 11.2 km per tank and a superior wet grip performance for a safer drive.

Wet grip is improved with the use of NanoPro-Tech based on a new polymer that grips wet road surfaces with higher frictional forces at the micro-level. The tread pattern now provides better anti-hydroplanning qualities, as well as giving better handling with reduced tyre noise.

For durability, there is a deeper lug depth on the tyre shoulder design which also contribute to increased wear resistance. EP300 features new tread design to better control tyre deformation and provide long lasting tyre life through a uniform wear pattern.

Currently, the Ecopia EP300 is available in 13 different sizes of 15 and 16 inches. There is also a single size in 17 inch. Prices range from RM180 to RM450, including GST.
