The BMW i8 is finally in Malaysia, and you can catch the hybrid supercar in the flesh at BMW World Malaysia 2015, in the Bukit Kiara Indoor Arena from 17 to 19 April 2015.

The i8 was among three new BMW models launched, with two new Motorrad models and the MINI John Cooper Works making their Malaysian bow at the event as well. Joining the i8 is the 2-Series ActiveTourer in 218i guise and the all new X6 in xDrive35i format. The Motorrad family welcomed the BMW S 1000 RR and R 1200 R.

Recently crowned TopGear's Car of the Year 2014, the i8 packs a 1.5-litre 3-cyl turbocharged plug-in hybrid powertrain which propels it from 0-100kph in just 4.4 seconds. BMW's most important sports car to date will go on sale at RM1,188,800 here. Prices include the BMWi wallbox for charging but additional installation charges apply.

The X6 xDrive35i and the 218i Active Tourer - BMW's first front-wheel-drive vehicle - will go on sale from RM718,800 and RM218,800 respectively. There is a Luxury Line for the latter which commands a RM30k premium. 

The MINI line-up welcomes the John Cooper Works variant of the recently-launched third-generation MINI which is priced at a cool RM288,888. It joins the new Cooper 5-Door and locally-assembled Countryman, priced at RM 188,888 and RM198,888 respectively, as the new faces in MINI's Malaysian family.

BMW Motorrad's new members are the S 1000 RR and R 1200 R which are priced at RM108,900 and RM91,900 respectively. 

All prices mentioned are on-the-road and GST-inclusive but without insurance. 

Also present at the BMW World Malaysia showcase are the BMW 328 Hommage and BMW Concept Roadster. Entry costs RM18 with all proceeds directed to charity. Tickets can be bought online via http://www.bmwworld.com.my/.
