The fourth-generation Kia Rio was launched just moments ago by official distributor, Naza Kia Sdn. Bhd. The totally restyled hatchback now carries a sleeker, aerodynamic design, a suitable continuation considering its popularity with urban dwellers.

“Though the third-generation Kia Rio was popular among Malaysians with its design, good build quality and interior features, the all-new fourth-generation Kia Rio is set to build on those strengths, and take it up a notch further by combining said features with improved spaciousness, which gives it a dash of practicality on top of its good looks,” said Dato’ Samson Anand George, Group CEO, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

The new Kia Rio now boasts a front-end with redesigned lower bumper and trademark ‘Schreyer’ tiger-nose grille integrated with the car’s headlamps. At the back, you can also spot a rear-view camera built into the tailgate handle. Kia describes the car as being sculptured by the wind instead of penned in the studio with a solid body volume and slim side glass, to give it a wider, tout appearance.

The increased space also gives practicality a boost as its 71mm wider tailgate – and is 26mm lower to the ground – allows for easier loading of items into the car, particularly wider or heavier ones. Wheels are 17 inches.
