Because you've been so very well behaved for the last twelve months, you deserve to treat yourself in 2015. And, luckily, 2015 will offer many, many excellent opportunities to treat yourself, um, automotively.

How about McLaren's answer to the Porsche 911? Or Ferrari's turbocharged successor to its sublime 458? Or a £140,000-plus Bentley SUV? Or maybe a nice, friendly, 228bhp Mini JCW? Hell, why not the whole lot?

Here are ten of the cars we're most looking forward to in 2015...

McLaren Sports Series
"The two-seat Sports Series - code-named P13 - will be McLaren's most affordable offering yet. It's said to cost two-thirds of a 650S's ask, which pitches it at around £135,000 - smack-bang between the Porsche 911 Turbo and faster 911 Turbo S.

Powering the whole shebang is a bespoke iteration of McLaren's familiar 3.8-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine. To put clear water between the Sports Series cars and the 650S, insiders point to a power output in the region of 450-500bhp..."

Ferrari 458 Turbo
"Ferrari has promised us a thoroughly revised version of the 458 in 2015, and they're being entirely open that it'll get a turbo. Carrying on with the naturally aspirated engine wasn't an option. Why? Because Maranello needs to steadily reduce its CO2 overage.

How much power will it have? Well, the California T has 560bhp. The 458 Speciale [above] has already taken the 458 family over 600bhp, so its turbo successor will probably go towards the McLaren 650S's 650bhp..."

Honda NSX
"Set to be revealed at January's Detroit show, the NSX has its hybrid guns aimed squarely at the Ferrari 458 Italia - way to give yourselves an easy ride, gents - packing a mid-engined, twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6, together with three electric motors (one for the rear wheels, two for the fronts) and a power output likely somewhere in the 500bhp region.

Expect a starting ticket under £100,000 when it reaches the UK. Not that you'll be able to buy one, of course - Britain's NSX allocation is already sold out..."

Porsche Cayman GT4
"A race-bred Cayman has long been rumoured, and a camouflaged version of the car with a large rear wing has frequently been spotted traversing the Nürburgring.

A GT4 badge would of course come with plenty of weight-saving measures to aid performance, while an output of '380-400bhp' from a flat six seems likely..."

Alfa Romeo 4C Spider
"The Spider weighs just 60kg more than the 4C coupe, which means a weight of around 985kg with fluids.

Certainly the deroofing hasn't done much to harm the 4C's vital stats. Armed with the same 237bhp four-cylinder turbo petrol (and six-speed DCT 'box) as the coupe, the Spider gets from 0-62mph in the same 4.5 seconds, and on to a top speed 'in excess of 155mph'..."

Mazda MX-5
"The fourth-gen MX-5 has been engineered to provide a greater dose of its traditional speciality: sharp reactions and a transparent connection between you and the road. People who've driven prototypes say it combines even more agility than before, with a suppler ride.

To make sure the engine and steering's efforts aren't wasted, it's lighter. The drop is 100kg or so, which means it'll be just about a neat tonne. In part its lightness stems from the fact there's less of it: it's 105mm shorter, as well as lower..."

Honda Civic Type-R
"Honda's new hot hatch will feature a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing more than 276bhp.

This, says Honda, makes the new Civic hot hatch faster than any previous Civic, Integra, Accord and even the NSX. Fast, then. It'll be the first Type-R to feature turbocharging. Don't worry though, Honda is still promising high-end VTEC fireworks..."

Bentley SUV
"The five-metre-long, as-yet-named SUV [earlier concept above] will launch with a choice of Bentley's tried-and-tested V8 and W12 petrol engines, to be followed by a petrol-electric hybrid.

And we know it'll be expensive: Bentley bosses have confirmed to Top Gear that prices will start north of even the most expensive Range Rover, which means a entry ticket of at least £140,000..."

Mini John Cooper Works
"The JCW laughs in the face of the 189bhp Cooper S, boasting a full 228bhp from its tweaked 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. To save you the Top Trumps bother, that's a fraction more than the VW Golf GTI Performance Pack from a whole class above.

The mighty Mini also matches the Audi S1 for poke - but does without all-wheel drive to smear its grunt onto the road..."

Jaguar XE
"The XE is Jag's new much-vaunted small sports saloon, and will wade into the deep waters against the BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class.

It'll sit on what Jaguar calls an aluminium intensive architecture, with hollow-cast aluminium for the suspension to keep everything light and stiff. Engines are all new, dubbed 'Ingenium' by JLR, the first of which sees a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel that manages 75mpg and slips under 100g/km of CO2, alongside a 2.0-litre petrol unit..."
