Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. just moments ago launched the official Shell online store in Malaysia on Lazada Malaysia, the popular e-commerce platform.

You already know what to expect right? Go over to the online store and simply pick the Shell Helix lubricant you want, pay for it and, expect it to arrive at your doorstep in a few days. Yes, very useful for car owners who prefers to service their own vehicle. If that’s not a thing yet in Malaysia – which it is not – then this could be the kickstart.

Another added advantage is that you are guaranteed of purchasing genuine Shell lubricant. According to Troy Chapman, Shell Lubricants Executive Director – Southeast Asia & Oceania, issues such as imitation Shell oil is a serious problem that they are aware of and having the official store on Lazada is one way to counter this.

The other convenience from the official Shell online store on Lazada is that it also provides service packages at authorised workshops. There are three packages, which start from RM103 that includes the preferred Shell Helix motor oil, oil filter, labour charge and a complimentary 15-point check. For the time being this particular scope of service is only offered in the Klang Valley and Johor Bahru.

When asked about a projection as when this service may be available nationwide, TopGear.com.my was told that this will depend on the number of authorised workshops that wants to join the bandwagon. The purchase of lubricant is available for buyers nationwide, of course.

In conjunction with this launch, shoppers at the official Shell online store will get an e-voucher from Lazada Malaysia worth up to RM30 for every purchase of Shell motor oil or service packages. This is valid from today until 10 August 2017.

Car owners who purchase a an engine oil service package from the site will be contacted by the official Shell distributor to arrange their preferred service venue, date and time slot followed by a confirmation via SMS.
