It’s every petrolhead’s dream – to happen upon a run-down barn or warehouse, stuffed with dusty supercars that haven’t seen sunlight in decades. But we suspect this particular barn find is beyond all but the wildest of those dreams. Why? Because it’s not just a couple of cars, but 81. 

Yep – looks like some lucky fellow has gone and discovered 81 cars in a barn somewhere in rural France. That, or it’s some chap who’s been hoarding cars for years and only now has decided/been forced to sell.  

Either way, the highlight of the substantial haul is a 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400, which was originally registered in Belgium and still boasts its original V12 engine. It’s expected to fetch between €400,000 and €600,000 (RM1.88m and RM2.81m) when it’s auctioned, along with the other 80 cars and a few old engines, gearboxes and other parts, this weekend.

There’s a Series One Jaguar E-Type, a Porsche 356A, loads of Americana (a Corvette, for example, plus old Lincolns, Packards and so-on) and a healthy dose of old French tat too. But sadly nothing else on the same level as that Lambo. And condition varies by vehicle. The Lambo looks complete, but the Porsche is a mess and described by the seller as “very incomplete”. A few cars aren’t expected to fetch more than €50.
