Got some updates for both the Peugeot 3008 & 5008 CKD models

Bermaz Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd, the new sole distributor for Peugeot here in Malaysia, has officially launched the updated 2021 Peugeot 3008 and 5008 SUVs for the local market. Both of these models are CKD which are assembled by their recently and fully acquired NAZA manufacturing plant in Gurun, Kedah.

Both the 3008 and 5008 (1.6L Allure variant) are nearly identical in terms of specs and performance where the only major difference is the seating arrangement. The Peugeot 3008 is a five-seater SUV whereas the Peugeot 5008 is a seven-seater.

Now that's out of the way, the updated Peugeot SUV models now come with the new frameless grille that merges into the new bumper design to portray a very modern-looking vehicle. To make things even more aggressive, they also come with new front headlights which now feature LED cornering lamps.

The rear is now equipped with a new set of upgraded taillights which features Peugeot's iconic 3D-effect claw signature lights together with newly added scrolling indicator lights. Other exterior updates include a hands-free power tailgate, panoramic sunroof, 18-inch wheels, and parking sensors.

Step inside the cabin and you'll be welcomed with the Peugeot digital i-Cockpit setup which consists of a very driver-oriented setup that includes a compact steering wheel, 12.3-inch digital heads-up cluster display, a new 10-inch HD touchscreen, and of course, the iconic piano-styled toggle switches mounted in the middle. Oh, they also come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard (wired).

Both the updated Peugeot 3008 and 5008 are fitted with the same 1.6-litre Twin Scroll Turbo High Pressure (THP) engine matted to a quick-shifting six-speed automatic transmission that produces 165hp and 240Nm of torque. They are also fitted with paddle shifters and Drive Mode Selector which allows the driver to switch to Sport Mode.

Bermaz Auto Alliance has priced the updated 2021 Peugeot 3008 and 5008 1.6L Allure models at RM161,616.66 and RM177,311.90 respectively (OTR price excluding insurance). Customers can choose between three colour options (Amazonite Grey, Pearl White and Nera Black) as well as a 3008 exclusive Cuprite Brown and 5008 exclusive Emerald Crystal.
