Nazim Azman will compete in the FIA Formula 3 this year with Hitech GP

After a fruitful season in last year's Euroformula Open Championship, 21-year-old Malaysia Nazim Azman will be stepping up to the FIA Formula 3 in 2022. This was confirmed after signing an agreement with the Hitech Grand Prix outfit which will see him partnering up with Kaylen Frederick and Isack Hadjar.

According to Nazim, "I’m really excited to be stepping up to the FIA F3 series with Hitech GP. The team is an established race and championship winner in the F3 category and will provide me with the perfect platform from which to focus on racing against some of the best young talents in the world."

"I’m looking forward to racing in Bahrain again, visiting some of the most iconic circuits in Europe — some of which I am already familiar with and others that will be new to me. I can't deny that this is a big step up for me but, having raced — and won — in both the British and EuroFormula Open series, I believe that I am ready for the challenge," added Nazim.

This promising young Malaysian driver finished fourth overall in the 2021 Euroformula Open Championship after copping a race win and seven podium finishes. His single-seater career started back in 2016 in the Formula 4 SEA and has gained more experience throughout the years in different championships. The first round of the 2022 F3 season will take place from 18-20 March in Sakhir, Bahrain. All the best, Nazim!
