The new Ford Ranger is coming by the end of this month, and while the confirmed Wildtrak, XL and XLT variants will undoubtedly be well received, it is the Ranger Raptor which get the people talking. Importers Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) has issued some reminders on why this is the pickup of pickup trucks.

This includes the new-generation 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine mated with a 10-speed automatic. As you can imagine, this will be the first truck that offers this type of powertrain. It’s not just powerful but also offer improved performance and fuel efficiency.

The new Ranger will also bring in more tech and features that rival those you usually only find in cars. Hang on to your drink because the Ranger will come with semi-automatic parallel parking (SAPP) feature which will be extra useful when parking in narrow spots. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) is also part of the package and will automatically brake the vehicle until coming to a stop if the driver does not react to warnings that a collision with a pedestrian or another vehicle is imminent.

Other features you will find in the new Ford Ranger is its easy-lift tailgate, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.
